The Marché du Porc Breton (MPB), which sets the French pig reference price, suspended again its session on thursday 8 October because two buyers, SA Bernard and SA Charles (Jean Floc'h group), did not attend the meeting, as France Agricole publishes.

The French reference market will remain closed until next Thursday, at least.

Apart from these two buyers, there are only three buyers left in the MPB: the abattoir Abera, that pertains to the Avril group (ex-Sofiproteol) and that is lead by the president of the FNSEA, Mr. Xavier Beulin; and two representatives of the supermarket sector: Josselin Porcs (Intermarché) and Kermené (Leclerc).
