Poland: 21 ASF outbreaks in pigs since the beginning of the year

Two regions of the country stand out in terms of the number of recorded outbreaks.

To date, 21 outbreaks of African swine fever (ASF) have been reported in Poland in 2024.

The 21st outbreak was reported in the municipality of Jaroslawiec, Zamosc county, Lublin province.

Most of the outbreaks (10) have been in Wielkopolskie Voivodeship, followed by Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodeship (6), Lubelskie (2), Zachodniopomorskie (2), and Mazowieckie Voivodeship (1).

In July, the individual outbreaks affected from 12 to more than 2,700 pigs.
