Aid to improve farm biosecurity is available to cover the conversion or renovation of premises for keeping pigs in separate enclosed spaces with separate entrances and no direct access to other spaces where other ungulates are kept. This measure will apply to farms with an annual average of no more than 50 pigs.

More favorable aid will be introduced for pig producers who ceased production due to ASF. The financing amount will be increased by 60% and the maximum number of pigs per holding for which aid can be granted will be raised from 50 to 200.

The conditions for granting aid to compensate for the lost income from the sale of pigs from the areas subject to restrictions due to ASF will be changed. Pig producers will be able to calculate the lost income for the period in which the new direction of production is carried out (e.g. farmers who changed from producing piglets to finishing pigs).

New aid will be introduced for sow producers who are in danger of losing their cash flow due to COVID-19.

Interest-free loans will be granted to agricultural producers who keep or breed pigs in the areas with restrictions related to ASF.
