Poland - Ministry of Agriculture to create Food and Veterinary Inspection

On January 2, the Polish Ministry of Agriculture announced its intent to create a joint Food and Veterinary Inspection Service by January 1, 2012.

The Ministry noted it would propose legislation to create the joint inspection service to the Polish Council of Ministers within the first half of 2011. The joint Inspection service would be comprised of the Veterinary Inspectorate, Plant & Seed Inspection and Inspection of Commercial Quality of Agricultural and Food Products.
