According to informations published by the Ministry of Agriculture of Poland, during the last meeting of the Standing Committee on Food Chain and Animal Health (DG SANCO), the votes were in favour of the Commission Decision for the execution relative to certain control measures regarding African swine fever in some member countries. The new Decision will replace the current Commission Decision 2014/134/UE.
The new voted Decision reduces the areas under severe restrictions and also modifies the restrictions, so the meat obtained from pigs from these areas may be commercialized in the home market.
