During the last meeting of the Council of Ministers of Agriculture of the European Union, in the context of the exchange of views on the markets situation, the Polish delegation informed the Council about the situation of its domestic pig meat sector, and in particular about the decrease in prices and difficulties linked to African swine fever. Poland encouraged the Commission to take action among others through: aid for private storage, financial support for pig producers and export refunds.
