Poland: 11th and 12th ASF outbreak in pigs this year

The outbreaks were reported near areas where African swine fever (ASF) had previously occurred.

The 11th ASF outbreak of 2023 (primary outbreak) was detected on July 07, 2023, on a farm where a total of 38 pigs were kept, located in Stary Podoś, Ploniawy-Bramura municipality, Makowski county, Mazowieckie province, in a restricted area listed in Part I of Annex I to Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/594.

The 12th ASF outbreak of 2023 (primary outbreak) was detected on July 11, 2023, on a farm with a total of 8 pigs, located in Cichostow Kolonia, Milanów municipality, Parczewski county, Lubelskie province. The farm is located in a restricted area listed in Part III of Annex I to Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/594.
