As of today, 82 outbreaks of the disease in domestic pigs have been reported in Poland in 2021. In August and in the first days of September as many as 41 ASF outbreaks were reported in Poland, which is the same number as from the beginning of the year until the end of July.
25 out of 41 outbreaks were located in Mielec County (Podkarpackie Voivodeship)
2 in Stalowa Wola district (Subcarpathian Voivodeship),
2 in Dąbrowa County (Małopolskie Province)
3 in Iława County (Warmińsko-Mazurskie Province),
2 in Ostróda County (Warmińsko-Mazurskie Province),
2 in Nowomiejski County (Warmińsko-Mazurskie Province),
2 in Trzebnica County (Lower Silesia Province),
1 in Międzyrzecz County (Lubuskie Province),
1 in Biłgoraj county (Lubelskie province)
1 in Rawicz county (Wielkopolskie Province).
In addition, in mid-August the extent of the restricted areas was changed (in accordance with Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/1371 of 16 August 2021).
Most of the outbreaks involved farms with a small number of pigs.
