Representatives of the Polish Pork Council (PRdsW) present at the meeting reported that the previous structure of the National Pork Council had been exhausted. In order to work out the previously established goal - to develop a strategy for the pork market - it was decided to establish the Polish Pork Council.

It is composed of representatives of the Employers' Union of Pork Producers POLPIG, the Polish Union of Pig Breeders and Producers - POLSUS, the Polish Union of Independent Pig Producers, the Union of Producers and Employers of the Meat Industry - UPEMI, the Polish Meat Association, and the Association of Butchers and Cured Pork Workers.

Representatives of the PRdsW pointed to three thematic areas crucial for the pork sector, within which solutions should be worked out to facilitate the development of animal production: construction law and spatial order, ASF, and rural cultural heritage. Participants of the meeting agreed that the development of these solutions will be handled by working groups composed of representatives of the PRdsW and the Ministry of Agriculture.

State Secretary Jacek Czerniak pledged not only support from representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development during the preparation of the strategy for the pork market, but also from the relevant staff of the Ministry of Development and Technology and the Ministry of Climate and Environment.
