Between January and September 2015, the pig meat, offal, and fats exports (EU + third countries) exceeded 1.11 million tonnes, a record figure that implied a growth by 14.5% with respect to the same period in 2014. The value reached €2,199 million (5.5% more than in the first nine months of 2014).
The registered exports to third countries were 376,170 tonnes (+27%), with a value of €691 million (+22.5%).
The registered value of the cured ham and forelegs exports was €288 million (+14.5%), and that of cured sausages was €233 million (+17%).
