A joint statement reflecting the commitment to move forward on issues of bilateral trade was signed under the Third Meeting of the Chile-Russia Business Council, emphasizing the work being undertaken by the competent authorities of both countries on Plant and Animal health Electronic Certification (eCert) for the export of agricultural, aquaculture and fishery products.
It is worth recalling that the Animal health Electronic Certification System (eCert) between Chile and China was officially launched a year ago, and the process of Chilean pork entry into the Chinese ports has been substantially improved. In this regard it is important to note that Russia is an important market for exporters of national pork products, so it is extremely important to implement eCert between Chile and Russia.
