The National Pig Farmers Union presented the ranking of the largest producers of pigs for slaughter in Russia at the end of 2024.
According to the rating, Miratorg retained its leading position producing 868.8 thousand tons of live weight pigs for slaughter in 2024, which accounted for 14.8% of total industrial production in the Russian Federation.
Rusagro Group took second place with 593.3 thousand tons and 10.1% of total production. It should be noted that the company has significantly increased production volumes (from 334,000 tons in 2023 to 593,300 tons in 2024), which allowed it to rise from the third position to the second.
Sibagro moved down to the third with 440.8 thousand tons and 7.5%.
It is followed by Velikoluksky Pig Farming Complex with 400.1 thousand tons and 6.8%, with Cherkizovo Group closing out the top five with 335.5 thousand tons and 5.7% of the total production of pigs for slaughter in the Russian Federation.
According to the presented ranking, the top 20 pork companies produce almost 80% of the total volume.
