The year 2022 ended with significant export volumes, while international prices continued their upward trend. In this sense, export volumes and prices allowed the year to close with a corn and soybean export value of USD 31.831 billion. Thus, in nominal terms, Argentina's foreign trade of coarse grains set a new record.
Compared to 2021, exports of soybeans, soybean meal, and soybean oil saw a 2.5% growth in value in 2022, with exports of more than USD 22.562 billion. Compared to 2020, this represents a 58% increase.
Corn ended 2022 with more than 35 million tons exported and foreign trade exceeding USD 9.2 billion. In this case, prices also exerted a strong counterbalance to the export reduction in volume. Thus, corn exports grew 2.3% with respect to 2021 and more than 50% compared to 2020.
