Romania will resume the exports of pork in the EU countries from January 1, 2014, from all commercial holdings in the country accredited for export to the community market, President of the National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority (ANSVSA), Vladimir Manastireanu told Agerpres.
Domestic exports of pork meat and live pigs were affected by restrictions imposed on Romania by the European Union since 2003 because of the classical swine fever evolution. The last outbreaks of swine fever in Romania were registered in 2007.
