In 2021 Russia continues to steadily increase its production of agricultural products and foodstuffs, which allows the country to not only meet domestic needs, but also to increase export potential. In the first half of the year, Russia exported $15 billion USD in food products to foreign markets, 18% more than in the same period last year (data for the EAEU countries for January-May 2021). Turkey was in second place with a 15% increase in purchases to reach $1.8 billion.
