The negotiations carried out in the form of a conference call were focused on Russian-Chilean cooperation in the area of practical application of IT technologies for veterinary purposes.
The Rosselkhoznadzor and the Agricultural and Livestock Service of Chile have been actively cooperating in e-certification for import/export of the regulated products controlled by the veterinary services since summer 2014. In particular, cooperation in the area of e-certification between Russia and the Netherlands where the IT systems have a lot in common with the Chilean ones have been chosen as a reference point for the Russia-Chilean system.
The Rosselkhoznadzor experts will get an access to the software interface of the veterinary and phytosanitary e-certification system operating in Chile. In addition to it, the parties agreed on the list of products that shall be supplied with the e-certificates. Pork will be a test products supplied from Chile to Russia during the trial period which is to start in early May when both e-certificates and paper certificates are applied.
