After the appearance of African swine fever in South Ossetia, Russia has imposed a temporary prohibition on the pork shipments from this republic, according to the information provided by the Veterinary and Plant Health Surveillance Federal Service of the region of Stavropol and Karachay-Cherkessia.
The prohibition came into force last October 16th and affects the supply of, among others, live pigs, their genetic material, pork, wild boar meat, processed products that contain pork, and any kind of feed and feed additives for pigs from all the territory of the Republic of South Ossetia.
