So far, more than 63 million tons of grain have been threshed. Harvesting rates and yields in the country as a whole are still higher than last year's level. However, the North Caucasian and Southern Federal Districts still have low yields due to adverse weather conditions. The situation in these regions has been taken under special control by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia. During July, a working group from the Ministry updated the production forecasts, assessed the amount of damage, and identified measures to minimize possible risks. At the same time, the harvest data for the country as a whole reveal the production target volumes this year have been achieved.
