The agreement negotiated by the United Nations has, along with the EU-Ukraine solidarity lanes, made a significant difference in allowing the export of Ukrainian grain and agricultural products to world markets and to countries most in need, including the Horn of Africa, Yemen, and Afghanistan. The Black Sea Grain Initiative has brought 9,521,645 tons of grain and food products to the world market.
In the last few hours Russia has stated that this corridor can continue to be used as long as the ships carrying grain have been inspected by its experts.
