The Russian Minister of Agriculture presented the preliminary results of the agricultural year 2016, according to the news published by the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture in its foreign news bulletin.
According to data from the Russian Ministry, the cereal harvest has reached record levels, with increases of 19% in wheat production or 5% in maize. Livestock and poultry production also increased by 4% to 14 million tonnes in live weight: 2.8 million tonnes of beef, 6.2 million tonnes of poultry meat and 4.4 million tonnes of pork.
