Russian food production in 2020 as a whole increased by 3.5%. The production of meat products also increased, with pork production rising significantly from 2019.
In meat production, the largest growth was shown by the production of pork - totaling 2.8 million tons, up 11.9% from the year before. Chilled poultry meat totaled 3.3 million tons, up 0.9% from 2019. The output of meat and meat-containing semi-finished products, chilled or frozen, increased by 8.2% (to 4 million tons). The production of cooked sausages increased by 3.4% (to 1.6 million tons).
