The Russian veterinary authorities have notified 36 new outbreaks of African swine fever and one of Classical swine fever.

The Russian veterinary authorities have notified 36 new outbreaks of African swine fever in last few days.

The outbreaks were located in the regions of Saratovskaya, Tulskaya, Yaroslavskaya, Belgorodskaya, Volgogradskaya, Pskovskaya, Rostovskaya, Moskovskaya, Smolenskaya, Tverskaya, Tambovskaya and Vladimirskaya. There are 2072 domestic pigs and 54 wild boars susceptible, of which 188 and 22 are confirmed cases, respectively.

They have also reported the reappearance of a case of classical swine fever, which affected five pigs in the region of Amurskaya Oblast (the last case was 06/05/2013).
