The Rosselkhoznadzor expressed its request to enhance the control of the movements of products through the Ukraininan-Belorussian board.
Taking into account that a natural focus of the infection is located in the Rostovskaya Oblast that boarders the Donetskaya Oblast of Ukraine, the occurrence of an ASF outbreak in the territory of the country is a matter of time.
Besides, the Head of the Rosselkhoznadzor informed about the necessity to carry out monitoring for presence of ASF virus among wild boars in the zone bordering the Russian Federation.
From his side, Sergey Dankvert offered to delegate the Chief Veterinary Inspector, Nikolay Vlasov to hold a joint conference with the State Veterinary Service of Ukraine on this issue.
In order to render assistance in rapid ASF diagnosis, the Rosselkhoznadzor voiced the proposal to hold a workshop for specialists of the State Veterinary Service of Ukraine at the Central Office of the Rosselkhoznadzor.
