Russian meat companies reviewed for exports to EU

Although Russia still remains one of the world's largest meat importers, its meat enterprises are currently considering the possibility of starting exports to the European market.

On October 6, the delegation of the European Commission will review Russia's meat and poultry processing companies for compliance with the European standards of meat quality, according to press-secretary of the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance Alexei Alexeyenko.
