In the first seven months of the year, Russia shipped about 17 thousand tons of pork to China. By the end of the year these exports may reach 50-60 thousand tons, predicts the general director of the National Union of Pork Producers Yuri Kovalev.
“Growth in exports is now primarily provided by supplies to China, which are gaining momentum from month to month. We expect that by the end of 2024, the total export of Russian pork to foreign markets will approach the target of 300 thousand tons,” he said.
In 2023, Russia exported 240 thousand tons of pork.
