Russia's pork exports may increase to 320,000 to 350,000 tons in 2025, predicts Yury Kovalev, general director of the National Union of Pork Producers. Results will depend on whether China expands the list of Russian suppliers or if it will still include three companies.
“Without expanding the list, exports may reach 320,000 to 330,000 tons, and with the opening of access for new companies about 350,000 tons,” he said.
“Therefore, in 2025, if no new domestic producers gain access, we predict that exports to China will be 60,000 to 70,000 tons. If at the beginning of the year 5 to 6 more companies are certified, we can hope for an increase in volumes up to 100 thousand tons,” said Yuri Kovalev.
