Meat production in the Russian Federation in January-May 2022 increased by 7.1% compared to the same period last year and reached 1.3 million tons, including 1.2 million tons of pork.
According to data from the Russian statistics service, Rosstat, collected by TASS, the production of fresh, chilled, or frozen pork in May totaled 252,400 tons, which is 7% more than in May 2021 and 1.7% more than in April 2022. Between January and May, pork production increased by 7% compared to the same period in 2021.
