The project "Establishing smart farms and enhancing the pig farming value chain in Ninh Binh, Vietnam" is funded by the Korean Government with a non-refundable aid of more than 3 million USD.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Dan - Deputy Director of the Project said that after more than two years of implementation, the project has completed the approved items such as:
- Construction and putting into use a smart pig farm system including: 216 m2 of post-weaning pens and 467.2 m2 of pens for market pigs;
- Developing a software system for operating smart farms, providing vaccines, breeding pigs, and breeding materials;
- Training and transferring technology (both domestically and internationally) on high-tech farming and data management, operating smart farm systems;
- Developing project documents and marketing the Project's products;
- A policy report on developing smart pig farms has been developed, specifically the draft Smart Livestock Development Plan for consultation.
The project "Establishing smart farms and improving the pig farming value chain in Ninh Binh province, Vietnam" is expected to create a typical model of clean agricultural production and consumption with high competitiveness, helping to improve productivity, product quality, and increase farmers' income, contributing greatly to the development of the agricultural sector in general and the livestock sector in particular.
