According to RTBF, Singapore is now lifting the ban on Belgian pork imports, as did India and Vietnam, said federal minister of agriculture Denis Ducarme on Saturday.

In 2017, Singapore imported 482 tons of pork products from Belgium.

Following the detection of an African swine fever (ASF) outbreak in the southern Belgian province of Luxembourg in September of 2018, 25 countries had implemented embargo measures against Belgian pork. Efforts continue to reopen other currently closed export markets, such as South Korea.
