Vietnam's GDP in 2022 is estimated to have increased by 8.02% over the previous year. The agriculture, forestry, and fishery sector continues to support the economy. The agricultural industry increased by 2.88%, contributing 0.27 percentage points to the growth rate of the total added value of the whole economy.
The field of livestock and poultry breeding has developed stably, and diseases have been basically controlled. It is estimated that the total number of pigs in the country by the end of December 2022 increased by 11.4% compared to the same period in 2021; the total number of cows increased by 3.1%; the total number of buffaloes decreased by 2%; and the total number of poultry increased by 4.8%.
