ASF Germany: six more cases confirmed in wild boar

These cases are located within the existing core area - bringing the total to 46 cases of ASF.

The national reference laboratory - the Friedrich Loeffler Institute (FLI) - confirmed the official suspicion of African swine fever (ASF) in six other wild boars that were found in the existing core area near Neuzelle (Oder-Spree district). There are now a total of 46 confirmed ASF cases in wild boars in the state of Brandenburg. The search for dead wild boars in the endangered area continues unabated. This was announced by the Ministry of Consumer Protection.

Of the total 46 confirmed ASF cases in wild boar in the state of Brandenburg, 9 are from the site near Schenkendöbern in the Spree-Neisse district, 36 from the site near Neuzelle in the Oder-Spree district and 1 from the site in Bleyen in the Märkisch-Oderland district. The first ASF outbreak was officially recorded on September 10th.
