Exports

  • First-quarter pork exports increased 1.5% over the same period in 2023, from 49,574 to 50,311 tons.
  • Export value increased by 5.8% (USD 206.6 million) and the average export price was USD 4106/t.

Imports

  • At the end of the first quarter, pork imports reached 398,958 tons, a decrease of 0.7% compared to the same period in 2023.
  • The total import value reached USD 785.7 million, resulting in an implicit price of USD 1969/t, an increase of 1.4% compared to the average in the first quarter of 2023 (USD 1943/t).
  • In the first quarter, 908 tons were imported from Brazil.
