Slowing down of the pork imports in China

The FranceAgriMer board specialised in “white meats” met last 29 November under the presidency of Mr. Jean-Michel Schaeffer to evaluate the conditions of the market for pork and fowl.

According to what FranceAgriMer has published, in the lasts weeks there has been a slowing down of the pork imports in China, despite the purchases rocketing in the first nine months of 2016 (+120%), with a high increase of the supplies coming from the EU (+130%).

The supply of pork from Europe remains stable, with increases in the slaughterings in the south of the EU, especially in Spain.

The French imports of Spanish pork have dropped in the first eight months of 2016.
