The information provided by the ECOGAN system, together with improvements in fertilization and animal feeding practices, has allowed ammonia emissions to be reduced by 10.6% compared to 2005. The reduction established in the "ceilings directive" is 3% for 2020-2030.

Thus, Spain not only complies with the reduction commitment established in the directive for the second consecutive year but also achieves a reduction three times greater than the required for the 2020-2030 period, demonstrating the commitment to improving sustainability in the Spanish livestock industry.
