The export ranking is headed by the swine sector, which exports 30% of their production to foreign markets, while the beef and dairy sectors export around 20% of their total production.
In the case of the swine sector, in this first trimester it has manager to icrease the figures from the year before (+2,5 % with respect to 2009 and + 7,4 % if we compare to the first trimester of 2008). But perhaps the best news from this first trimester is the fact that this increase is based on foreign exports (+ 14,2% with respect to 2009) more than on exports within the EU, although those have also experienced a slight increase (+0,5%).
