According to the latest data published by Interporc, the Spanish pork industry trade association, during the first 10 months of last year, Spanish pork exports grew 19.1% in volume and 24.8% in value compared to the same period of the previous year.

Most of the exported products are pork and offal (together they accounted for 87.8% in volume and 82.6% in value), while processed exports accounted for 6.7% of total exports in volume and 14.8% in value.
The Chinese market continues to be the main customer, receiving 44.3% of exports by volume, followed by France (10.2%), Italy (6.9%), Japan (3.9%), Portugal (3.6%), Poland (3%), the Philippines (2.5%) and South Korea (1.8%).
By Spanish Autonomous Communities, this period from January to October 2020, Catalonia continues to be in first place representing 52.8% of the country's total pork exports by volume, followed by Aragon (22.1%) and Castilla and Leon (5.7%).
