The Committee for the Common Organisation of the Agricultural Markets has just published the data on pork exports in 2018. According to these data, between January and December 2018, the EU exported a total of 3,927,308 tonnes, a very similar amount to the exports in 2017 (+0.3%).
From the data, we can highlight a drop by 5% in the exports to China, that is the main destination, with 34.4% of the total share (1.351.416 t), and by 40% to Hong Kong (231.369 t). On the other hand, the exports to South Korea, the third destination, rose by 21%.
