After the confirmation of the African Swine Fever problem in Lithuania and Poland, the Swiss Food and Veterinary Safety Matters Federal Office (OSAV) has issued, for the sake of prevention, two orders (one for Lithuania and another one for Poland) that forbid the importation of live pigs, and of swine semen, ova and embryos, as well as of wild boar meat from these two countries.

The order for Lithuania is applicable, initially, until April 30th 2014, and will be extended and/or adapted depending on the circumstances.
