The Department of Internal Trade (DIT) under the supervision of the Commerce Ministry has adjusted down the recommended prices for eggs by 10 satang per unit and for pork by 5 baht per kilo due to higher production.

Regarding the recommended price for pork, Ms Vatchari, DIT Director-General, said the retail price for pork has been reduced by 5 baht per kilogram while the farm-gate price for live pig stands at 70 baht per kilogram.

As a result, the pork price in Bangkok as well as in central, eastern and western regions currently is at 135 baht per kilogram at the maximum while the price in the North and Northeast stand at 140 baht a kilogram and the South at 145 baht per kilogram.
