According to the Brazilian Animal Protein Association's (ABPA) data, the pork exports (including all the products: cuts, carcasses, processed products and others), increased by 19.2% during September (a total of 52,571 tonnes) with respect to the same period in 2014.
The value of the exports was USD121.6 million, a balance that is 23.1% lower in comparison with the same period in 2014.
The year-to-date exports (January to September) sum up 393,400 tonnes: 6.2% more than during the first 9 months of 2014. Regarding the income, there has been a drop by 17.5%, with a total of USD948.2 million.
Russia is still an important destination for Brazilian pork exports, with 48% of the total exports in September. The exports to Hong Kong rose by 43% with respect to September 2014, reaching 12,600 tonnes. The imports of Brazilian pork by Venezuela also stand out, with a total of 2,300 tonnes only in September. Venezuela is the third most important destination of the Brazilian pork exports.
