The EU increases its pork exports to China by 50%.

Overall European pork exports in the first nine months of this year have increased by more than 16%, while exports to China have increased by 55%.

During the first nine months of this year, European pork exports increased by 16.2% compared to January-September of 2018, reaching 3,363,897 tons.

China continues to be the top destination, representing 46% of total exports and a 55% increase over the same period last year. Other countries where important increases can be observed are Vietnam, with an increase of 28% (representing 2.2% of the total) and Australia with an increase of 24% (2.6% of the total).

The main destinations continue to be China (46% of the total), Japan (10.9%) and South Korea (6.2%).
