The last data published by the European Commission’s Committee for the Common Organisation of the Agricultural Markets show a decrease by 1.8% in the EU28’s pork exports in the first trimester of 2018 in comparison with the same period in 2017, with a total of 996,582 tonnes.
Although China is still the main destination, with almost 36% of the total share, the exports to China have dropped by 11%. China is followed by Japan, with 11.1% of the total share, and South Korea, with 9.5% of the total share and that stands out due to the important rise in shippings (+27%).
