The first goal of this project will be to support the changes in the Breton agricultural sector through the implementation of technological and agronomic innovations and through the research and the creation of new points of sale for its members.

The second goal will also be focused on the development of agrifood chains based, among other things, on the convergence of the lines of business and industrial resources, the strategic positioning of its strong brands, such as Aucy or Paysan Breton, and the strengthening of its activities in France.

The merger of these two companies, that will provide their services to the Breton farmers, will count on some 9,000 men and women that work in the two cooperative groups.

The consolidated turnover of the merger of the two cooperatives represented €3,100 million in 2016, with the aim of reaching €5,000 million by 2025.

For the General Directors, Mr Alain Perrin and Mr Dominique Ciccone, this project “will allow (due to its size) the implementation of new local and international growth strategies, and the establishment of new kinds of relationships with our clients”.

The parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding last December 12th, 2017, for its implementation during the second semester of 2018, after hearing the opinion of the relevant authorities.
