Six Portuguese pork establishments have been authorized to export pork to the Philippines: Central Slaughterhouse of Entre Douro e Minho, CASO, Sicasal, Carmonti, Valsabor and Maporal.

The approval of the country and these specific establishments was based on several key criteria, including a robust guarantee of food safety through biological risk control programs, assurance of animal welfare certified by FILPORC—Portugal’s Interprofessional Organization of the Pork Industry—and the recognized competence of Portugal's national health authority.

The Philippine market has been a strategic priority for FILPORC since the organization began its internationalization efforts in 2021. Years of consistent engagement and collaboration have now culminated in this significant achievement.
