United Kingdom - Latest national statistics on GB Animal Feed

The latest national statistics produced by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs on GB Animal Feed were released on 15th April 2010 according to the arrangements approved by the UK Statistics Authority.

The latest national statistics produced by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs on GB Animal Feed were released on 15th April 2010 according to the arrangements approved by the UK Statistics Authority.

The key points from this release are:
• In February 2010 the total GB retail production of animal feed was up 5.4% compared with February 2009.
• In February 2010 the total GB raw material usage in the retail production of animal feed was up 5.2% compared with February 2009.
• In February 2010 the total GB integrated feed production was down 1.1% compared with February 2009.
• For the period October to December 2009 quarterly average prices of animal feedingstuffs
were the following:-
Cattle and calf feed - £176 per Tonne
Pig feed - £203 per Tonne
Poultry feed - £206 per Tonne
Sheep feed - £170 per Tonne
