United Kingdom - Organic market set to return to growth

Sales of organic products in the UK fell by 12.9% in 2009 to £1.84 billion, according to the Organic Market Report published by the Soil Association.

Sales of organic products in the UK fell by 12.9% in 2009 to £1.84 billion, according to the Organic Market Report published by the Soil Association.

The three biggest categories of organic food – dairy, fruit and vegetables, and fresh meat – saw supermarket sales fall by 6.5%, 14.8% and 22.7% respectively.
