According to the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) of the Department of Agriculture of US published, last 17th september, in the case of the PEDv and up to this date, samples from animals from 32,211 farms have been analysed, and 8,386 farms have been found to be positive (we simplify the explanation showing the number of farms, although the report showed the accessions to the laboratory. In general, a laboratory accession is a set of samples received at the laboratory in which the samples were collected at a single premise on a single day. Therefore, each laboratory accession represents a swine herd).
There is a total of 31 states in which positive biological samples have been detected.

With respect to the SDCv, of the 5,837 tested farms, 382 were positive. There is a total of 17 states with positive biological samples.
