In Lang Son alone, there were 55 outbreaks of African swine fever (ASF) in 53 communes of 10/11 districts and cities, causing 2,374 pigs to get sick and be culled (accounting for more than 13.7% of the total number of pigs culled due to ASF nationwide since the beginning of the year).
In Bac Kan, the province had 81 ASF outbreaks in 77 communes of 8 districts, causing 4,724 pigs to get sick and be culled (accounting for more than 54% of the total number of pigs destroyed).

Facing the complicated ASF situation in many localities, the Department of Animal Health will establish working groups to inspect and urge the prevention of ASF. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will also organize a conference to deploy ASF prevention and control thoroughly.
