USA: frozen pork supplies up

Frozen pork supplies were up 6 percent from the previous month and up 31 percent from last year.

According to the latest USDA's Cold Storage report, frozen pork supplies were up 6 percent from the previous month and up 31 percent from last year.

Stocks of pork bellies were down 51 percent from last month and down 9 percent from last year.

Export value exceeded $600 million for the first time, breaking the previous high ($597.85 million).

For January through September, pork exports were up 2 percent in volume at 1.657 million metric tons and up 6 percent in value to $4.6 billion.
