For 2009 and 2010, U.S. feed grain production is forecast at 344.8 million metric tons, up 5.2 million from a month ago and up 18.9 million from 2008-09, according to the Feed Outlook, a report from the Economic Research Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Total U.S. meat production for 2009 is raised as higher pork and broiler production offset lower beef production. Pork production is raised due to higher third-quarter slaughter at significantly higher weights due to favorable summer weather. Lower corn prices are expected to encourage increased weights through the fall.
